Saturday, April 18, 12pm-3pm EST: Curious about double knitting but not quite sure how it works? In this workshop we’ll learn the magic of knitting two sides of your work at once with no visible wrong side. We’ll also cover ways to keep your edges tidy, casting on with two colours, how to read double knitting charts, and work up the Bridgerton Cowl!

FOR THIS CLASS YOU WILL NEED:

• 2 highly contrasting shades of Rowan Pure Wool Superwash Worsted, 1 ball each shade

• 3.75mm / US 5 20” Circular Knitting Needles

• 4mm / US 6 20” Circular Knitting Needles

• Stitch Markers

• Tapestry Needle

• Sticky Notes

A handout that includes the pattern will be emailed prior to the event.

Sunday, April 19, 12pm-3pm EST: Freaked over Fair Isle? Curious about stranded colourwork techniques? Intimidated by multiple strands of yarn in multiple colours? Not sure how gauge works or how to trap those floats? This is the workshop for you! We’ll cover basic stranded colourwork knitting techniques for English, Continental, and Combination knitters, tackle common issues, proper technique, how to trap floats, Latvian braids, Fair Isle history and set good colourwork knitting habits. We’ll put everything we learned into practice while knitting up either the Luminosu Hat or the Luminosu Cowl (knitter’s choice!). No previous colourwork experience necessary.
